Yes its summertime end of June about to be July. I decided that to do a protective style so that I can just get up and go when needed. The style is a mixture of individuals, lace/tree individuals, tree braids and cornrows going into tree braids. The outcome is great..
As far as the timeframe to do these... due to my work schedule.. I really did not time this. However it probably took all together 10hrs DO NOT QUOTE. Hair used is Freetress GO GO curl in #30 and 1pk of 1b/27 total of 4-5pks, all used not cut. Therefore, if your looking to do a full head of med braids I suggest 8-10pks to be on the safe side if uncut as I did not cut none of the packs in half as my natural hair is longer that the length of the packs being cut in half.
Regimin: Oil my scalp with my personal oil mixture mentioned in my previous post and spray with co/h20 daily.
I'm playing on playing it up in different styles and be creative with it as my birthday is right around the corner.
This is my blog with topics such as growth, maintenance, product reviews..to natural styles, protective styles & hair color.

Spring hair going into Summer 2012 updates, ramble, etc
It's been a while, my true apologies for my readers. A LOT has been going on. However, I am BACK.
SO now on to hair. I have been rocking my hair for a while. I did do some box braids a while ago. My hair grew a bit too much, which isnt a bad thing. However, I like my braids to look fresh as long as they can.
After the braids that I took out about beginning of March I have been wearing my hair. I have colored my hair back to the Honey Blonde colour as that has always been my staple since the 90's. YES the 90's!
As stated previously. I continue to find out what my hair and scalp likes. And it loves natural products. My scalp is not having any issues and that is a very good thing as there medical issues that I continue to deal with along with the meds.
The As I Am product line from Sally's is AWESOME. I use the As I Am Cleansing Pudding as shampoo and As I Am Moisture Milk at times.
At times or needed the other products I would use are: Luster S Curl Activator & Moisturizing No Drip, Shea Moisture Organic Curl & Style Hair Milk, Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in, and newly: White Rain Naturals Apple Blossom Conditioner
as a leave in since it is summer weather out.
For conditioner: 100% aloe vera blended and mixed with Kemi Oyl Moist conditioner, Organix Pomegranate Green Tea Conditioner, Miracle7 Deep Conditioner, Round Brush hair negra deep intense conditioner just a little to make the mixture a bit thick.
For my scalp oil: Castor Oil, Jojaba Oil, Coconut Oil, EVOO, Pepperment Oil. My scalp LOVES the stimulation.
I have been experimenting with different hair styles, such as up dos and of course the trusty wash and go type styles.
For now thats about it, stay tuned for my next blog.

New Year, New Hair
So to say. I did color my hair to blue black via Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color #BL21 Blue Black during the holiday. I left the front top area the red color. Therefore, I call my hair 'cherry blackblueberry cola' LOL
The only thing I do not like with my hair right now is that the front red color area looks dry, even though its moisturized and feels soft, it just looks dry. Therefore, I will be officially washing my hair when I get home to at least clean my scalp as I have been co washing in the shower recently.
I will be using the Rite Aid brand no sulfate shampoo that I have mentioned before with a little bit of the Ion Moisturizing Shampoo mix. And condition with Rite Aid brand and a little bit of my own mixture. Then seal with EVOO and Crisco. Let's see how this works as I have been curious on the pluses of moisture that Crisco Vegetable Oil Shortening blue container can add to the hair.
I will probably just do a simple style...like a curly puff with twist in the front as a bang to give me that jazz. Or shall I say, that's how I'm imagining in my head/mind right now.
Other than that, my hair enjoys being free and itself. My scalp is doing a lot better while I'm letting it be free. Interesting that it took something as simple as 'freedom' so my scalp to not act up.
I will update with the Crisco abilities pros and cons in my next post. Stay tuned.
